Women Business Owners are receiving small business loans more often these days, and it is imperative that you do substantial planning and take the proper steps before seeking a loan.
The most important (and the first) thing you need to do is write your business plan. Lenders will want to see your business plan, and make sure that your business is a good investment, and will show good returns.
You may be able to obtain a loan through your own bank or credit union. Ask them if they grant small business loans. You might have a better chance since you've already been their customer, and they know you.
You should also seek the help of your local Chamber of Commerce. They are a very good source of lenders and investors that may be right in your community, and you might not otherwise find out about them.
